Since I did not want to pay excessive rates at nearby closer to the Manuel Antonio National Park properties ranging from USD150 to USD650 per night plus taxes I booked directly this Best Western after checking negative reviews from other guests to anticipate what I could be expecting. Unfortunately, our room faced street and there was a great deal of noise during the night. Included continental breakfast buffet had cereal, toast, jams, good fruit, juice. The room was very nice, modern, reasonably large, with flat-screen TV, balcony. It seems to rain a lot in Costa Rica even when it's supposedly not the rainy season (all or part of 11 of 15 days in mid-December). Part of Park was flooded while we were there so had to take long way back, wade through water or pay extra $1 for a boat. Beach inside Park (entrance $10 or CRC5,100) much better for swimming than free one in Manuel Antonio town (latter shallow with large breakers, life guard won't let you go out far enough)-no beach in Quepos itself. It is a short walk to the bus terminus for the 1/2-hour trip to Manuel Antonio ($0.50 each way). Took about 1/2-hour for our group's check-in. We spent 2 nights here as part of a G Adventures tour.
